Root Canal Treatment

Root canal treatment is a dental procedure that is used to treat a tooth that has become infected or inflamed. The procedure involves removing the infected or inflamed pulp (soft tissue inside the tooth) and cleaning and sealing the tooth to prevent further infection.

The pulp inside the tooth can become infected or inflamed for a variety of reasons, including deep decay, repeated dental procedures on the same tooth, cracks or chips in the tooth, or trauma to the tooth. If left untreated, an infected or inflamed tooth can cause pain, swelling, and even lead to the loss of the tooth.
